HONESTY

Once a villager asked to a saint,” Sir! You are visiting place to place. You are having knowledge of various religions, can you tell me any one idiom, which is used in all parts of the world and is an integral part of all the religious learning? The reply was “Honesty is the best policy.”
What we are observing today in our present day to day life, we are using this phrase “Honesty is the best policy” without understanding Honesty in its proper and wide sense, and subsequently we are being encircled by various problem storms. The two most damaging storms of all these are:
1] Creation of self centered nature and
2] Elopement of values from our day-to-day life.

Cross your heart, feel the light of almighty in your heart and then tell honestly, how honest are you? To be an honest person we must have the fallowing seven qualities. The first quality is the Humble nature, which helps to reach the truth. The second quality is the Orderly actions towards the search of the truth and ultimately to reach reality. Third quality belongs to Narration; one must be capable of narrating “truth”, the result of search to mosses.

Fourth quality is the Execution; one can work as the executive of the laws of truth and fairness with equal success not only with others but him-self also. The fifth quality is Sacrifice; one must be ready to sacrifice owns interest in the search of truth because without loosing any thing we can’t gain any thing.

The second last quality is the Trust-worthiness; one must have a behavior such that mosses can have a trust in the person. The last quality is Yielding nature; one must be able of producing good thoughts, behavior, even in the worst situations. Let consider a scene of Mahabharat, when Yudhshtra loosed his entire kingdom, him-self, his brothers and wife in the gambling with Shakuni, Yudhshtra was knowing that all will take his side, only he has to say that he was cheated by Shakuni, but his policy of honesty was not allowing him to do so. In fact honesty makes our behavior such, which we wish to have with us from the others.

According to our Hindu faith we are here on earth to work for the achievement of Moksha and the first step to our, this prime object of life is non-else but is the honesty. Literally honesty means the quality of Truth fullness and true means real, hence we can say that honesty is the quality, which is full of reality. As the life is real, similarly Moksha is also real and we can have it only in the exchange of real i.e. honesty.

How honesty makes a person great, immortal and beyond the time, to know this, we have to go in the childhood of late Mahatma Gandhi. Once school inspector came to visit his school and ask all the students of his class to write a few words, Mohandas wrote a word in incorrect way, the teacher ask him to correct it by copping from the adjacent student, but as honesty of Gandhi ji was not allowing for it, hence he refuse to do so and accepted the punishment. This honesty laid down the foundation stone on which his life building was build later on and what a marvelous and splendid was that even after more than half century of demolishing it, we are forced to remember his with all due respect and love as our “Father of Nation”.

Don’t we wish to have a life building, one like of the Mahatama Gandhi, for our self ? Then why we are waiting? Let us , we all , at this moment start working to gain all the seven qualities to bring honesty in our daily life.

DREAMS

When for the tasting the prohibited fruit God, ordered man to leave the heaven. Man prayed God “ please do give me something, which can keep my life as colorful is this one.” “ O.K.” God replies “ I am giving you the power of dreaming and if you can use all of your mental and physical abilities to realize your dreams you will be able not only to keep your life colorful like this but also will be able to construct your own paradise.
Think of the organizations like Rotary, it is neither a social reform nor a military revolution, in fact Rotary is the realization of dreams of the peoples, from the different walk of life, of different race, caste and country, like you and me, with a common ideology of service to humanity.
Let-us tries to find out what dreams are? The entire medical students know that a human being holds two minds:
Conscious and sub conscious one
What we are doing in our daily life is the act of our conscious mind and whatever we are dreaming is the act of our sub conscious mind. In fact dream are the kids, given birth by the “Reality “ [Mother] and “ Imagination “ [Father], hence dreams are the mixture of truth and the thought power of human being.
From the dawn of human history dreams have played a very significant and important role in the advancement of the human beings. The entire world of chemistry students are well versed with the Kekule’s dream sequence, which helped him to suggest the structure of Benzene like organic compounds. These compounds, in their molecule contain equal number of Carbon and Hydrogen atoms; hence it was not possible to arrange them in usual normal linear structure. This was a problem for the world and Kekule was involved in suggesting the solution to such a great extant, that one night he saw a dream in which six snakes are holding each others tail in mouth forming a hexagonal structure. This dream helped him to solve the problem of the molecular structure of the Benzene like organic compounds, by suggesting the hexagonal structure. This is the one example to show the great value of dreams in our life.
Dreams are in fact positive vision of life, whatever seems difficult to achieve by conscious mind, sub-conscious mind suggest ways to achieve it. Rotary is going to taste the success in the dream project of “Polio Free World” why? Only due to fact that Rotarians worldwide dare to dream it and as per the instructions of God utilized all their physical and mental abilities to achieve it.
In my childhood I have heard one quote “ success is slave of those, who dare to dream it”, and in my personal opinion, Dreams are nothing but the achievement of the goals of life. People, who Dare to face the Real Examination are entitled for the Achievement of Mental Satisfaction. So dear keep continue dreaming and keep your life full of success.

FRIENDS

Human life is the ocean of emotions and some emotions tend to acquire name, one such emotion is friendship. The recipient and the deliverer of this emotion are called friends. Friendship and friends are in the existence since the early dawn of the civilization on the mother earth. Who can forget the famous friends of Mahabharat era Lord [God] Shrikrishna and poor Brahman [Priest] Sudama. Even the largest film producing industry bollywood is not unattached by this, from time to time this emotion is used as the central idea of the film. It may the oldies like Dosti, A Rajshree production or may be the recent past Dostana, A successful film of the super star Amitabh Bachan. One thing is sure that when ever a film is produced on this topic, it hits box office collection hugely, because this is the one emotion which attract us most and for which are our intuitions are always filled with curiosity.
Human is said a social animal and human life goes on with interacting other people from this variety of human sea, with a few we fall in friendship. Friends or friendship can be classified into following three categories :
One who comes for the reason
One who comes for the season
one who comes for the forever

Reasonable Friends
In fact these people can't be termed as friends, though it is a fact that our mutual behavior is one like the friends but it is fact that this behavior is born from the uterus of a specific reason. As soon as this reason goes away we forget about each other.
Seasonal Friends
This is yet another unnatural or accidental emotion of friendship, these people enter in our life for a short spawn of time, We spent a short specific period of our life with them, enjoy some moments of pleasure together, share our thoughts and dreams with each other and after that specific period it is all over like the packing up of the woolen cloth at the end of winter season.
Friends For Forever
In fact this the selective class of people for whom the pronunciation Friends was created. These are in our life neither for reason nor for the season, they are spontaneous and natural entrant of our life. Once they enter in our life, they remain there, if not for the whole life, at least for many many years to come. Thus we say Friends For Forever.
A few situations that help us to identify these real friends are
* A real friend will never hesitate to criticise you, as critic view help us to know our weakness and every one wish to have strong friends.
* A real friend will be seen around you in your difficult times as real friends never wait for help request.
* A real friends will always find time for you instead of asking to visit at a convenient time he will make the time convenient for you.
* A real friend will always have a faith in your and never ask or believe in rumors about you.
If you are finding a faithful shoulder to carry over all your sorrow, agony and unhappiness assume your self blessed by God as in this world, the ocean of self centered emotions, you are with a true Friend.

Human Life and Values

How lonely man has become due to the run for the search of source of physical happiness? What a pity! To day human life become tasteless without the sweet and sour taste of family relations. Presently we are running towards the continuously becoming deeper and deeper valley of distress without bothering about the values.
Valueless behavior of human is the hottest topic of discussion everywhere. Out of the various reasons of the elopement of values from the human life, the most significant five are:
· Non availability of examples
· Breaking of combine family tradition
· Increasing attraction towards the source of physical happiness
· Money – to become axis of life
· Education – a means of earning only
Let we have a discussion on all of theses one by one.

Examples and life values
All most all the people, who are professionally analyzing human behavior, are of the opinion that whatever a human learns during the life almost 90% of that is learned by the analysis of the behavior of others and copying it.
The learning process of the kid doesn’t starts from the schooling but way back from the, Mother’s lap, home, family and society. Does all these are enriched with inspiring examples? In India a historical sentence “ Yatha Raja Tatha Praja” [Public will behave like the King] is expressing the importance and necessity of the examples in the process of cultivation of values. Once Mahatma Gandhi has said, “don’t hate criminals, hate crime, because it is the social environment and society, which are responsible, to a great extant for the criminal behavior of human.
We Indians are remembering Shriram, the son of king Dashrath, as the God and pray him for our prosperity and well being. Why? The reason is none else but only and only due to values reflecting behavior of Shriram in each and every aspect of life. It may his obedience to elders, may his nature to scarify for the younger brother, or may be his believe in the principle of equality of human beings, which force him to eat Ber [a fruit] at the hands of lower caste woman Shabari. Still we are paying our hearty homage to late Mahatma Gandhi by remembering him as Rashtra-pita [Father of Nation], similarly our hearts will never dried up of the memories of the Bhagatsingh, Rajguru and Azad, because these were the people, who by their inspiring behavior not only sets an example for the creation of urge for the independence but also generated the emotion to scarify each and everything for the achievement of independence.
Once somebody asked Mahatma Buddha, “Sir! I wish to become a saint like you. You are guiding whole world, can you help me by suggesting the easiest way of becoming a saint.” Buddha replied “oh! Dear, only you have to keep correct your behavior, when others will start imitating your behavior, you automatically will become saint”. Does our present family atmosphere and socio environment are giving the same illustrated behavior to the younger generation? In my view to know what younger generation if getting a hypothetical dialogue between Mahatma Gandhi and Rajeev Gandhi, who meet in the Heaven will be sufficient.
· Oh! Dear Rajeev! How is mine India? How she is progressing?
· Oh! Grandpa, India is progressing at a very high rate. See you was killed by the bullets of a pistol, after that the Indian progress touched its high point so my mother Indira Gandhi got numerous bullets from the machine gun, but the progress was not stopped even here, hence I was dispatched here by virtue of a human bomb.
Remember any reform tend to achieve the destination of success only if it is started from home [our own self]. So my dear friends awake! Awake! Not from today but from this vary moment separate your self from the valueless behavior, to become not only the inspiring example for the younger generation but also the foundation stone of value regarding future human life.

Breaking of combine family tradition
How much progress we Indians has achieved? Starting with the principle of “Humanity is a family” today we are reaching to a point, where we didn’t wish to have our elderly Mother and Father staying with us, meagerly due to the reason that we think they might prove an obstacle for our personal life.
Combine Family Tradition was the continuously growing source of life values, which is going to dry up due to our own actions. In combine family the responsibility of growing kids was laying at the hands of the elderly persons of the family, who by virtue of their life experiences were able to keep the illustrated behavior and most of times were able to prevent the younger generations from going on the path of valueless behavior. Today by shouting the slogan of personal independence, we have turned this mighty ocean into smaller ditches. When on receiving a telephone call from an undesired person we ask our kids to convey about our non-availability, we almost forget that our kids are learning to speak untruth in certain situations and in fact this is the poisonous seed from, which the giant and branched tree of valueless behavior has grown up. The hugeness of this tree is raising our body hairs with fear.
Surely I am not going to suggest the restart of combine family system, because it will be like the rotating the time clock in the backward direction, which is not only impossible for us but also beyond our reach. Surely it is within our reach to expand our family circle a bit from our present one of Husband, Wife and Kids, so that our elderly Mother and Father can also be accommodated in the family.

Increasing attraction towards the source of physical pleasure
In my childhood I have heard, Human is committing sin only, when his requirements are not cooping with his income. Now, after being grown up I found it a fact and many incidents of our present socio-surroundings are turning this fact into a hard bitter truth. Keep it in your mind, when requirements are not fulfilled only and only un-satisfaction is generated. Have a look around you, in search of one and only one satisfied person. I am confident that, if your search is not impossible, than surely it will be hard for you to take your search to the destination of success.
Our tendency of achieving more and more physical pleasure, force us to earn more and more money. In this blind race of earning more and more money, we often forget about good/bad or right/wrong, which results in the creation of self centered behavior. Today honestly our behavior become such that, we are sad not because, we have any scarcity in any aspect of our life but because of the reason why the others are enjoying the pleasure of life. Surely this emotion of jealousy works as the fuel of our fire of selfishness and make our life and behavior more and more valueless.

Money – Axis of Life
Present era can be called as the economic era. In fact when money become more and more important part of our life, it start working as the foundation stone of our valueless behavior. Presently human life, from birth to death, is revolving on the axis of money. The mirage of earning more and more money has fulfilled human life with valueless and only the valueless behavior.
What more disgrace of God we will have? Today in each aspect of life we are having leaders, not well cultural, well-civilized persons but the persons, who can burn money, which even might be earned and collected by the illegal ways. Nobody at any moment can deny the importance of money in the life but the relation of the values and money must be of the salt [money] and the flour [values]. Unfortunately we are having situation just opposite of it. In our present life, the money occupies more important place of flour and the lesser important place is being given to the values. Surely, this is area, where our point of view needs to be change to its totality. Only then we will be able to provide a value full life to our younger generation.

Education – A Device of Money Earning
If we can open our eyes and observe our present socio-human environment, we can conclude that, our present society education means the acquirement of the abilities essential for the earning money. According to Indian faith, education is the third eye of human beings. It is the education, which has made men more civilized, more cultural and different from other mammalian animals. The same education got this meager status of abilities required for the money earning, hence a vacuum of values is generated in our life.
Today our common social thought is that, our kids will get as higher earning jobs as higher degrees [not the education] they acquire. Our attitude towards the education tends to create a desire in our kids for the gaining the degrees by all means. What more displeasing situation we face, today we are measuring teacher’s educational abilities, from the number of pass students in the subject thought by the teacher. We are appointing persons in our office not according to their honesty, sincerity but on the basis of the degrees they hold.
It is the necessity of the hour to alter our this habit of deciding ones ability and efficiency only on the basis of the degrees acquired by the person. We must take in consideration the civilized, well-mannered and cultural behavior, along with the attitude of the person towards the life, while deciding the abilities of a person. Dear friends, this is the only way to convert our valueless behavior into one, which is enriched with values.

Deepawali : Festival of Lights

Love of Indians for the celebrations is unique, enthusiasm for the festivals is beyond the comparison so it is truly said that India is the country of festivals. History revels that Deepavali or Diwali was the festival of Hindus but changing time has converted this festival into the most celebrated festival of Indian spread all over the world. Deepavali has expanded lights and become festival of India from the festival of Hindus. India, the only country of world with most variations about the religious faith, teaching and setting example for the religious unity and harmony by celebrating this festival in real grand style.
Historic Stories [Reasons of Celebration]
Maryada Purshotam Ram along with Sita & laxman returned back to Ayodhiya after completing Vanvas of 14 years on this day.
Day before the Diwali on Chaturthi Narkasur was killed by Lord Shri Krishna hence on next day Deepmala celebration was performed by citizen of Gokul.
It was Kartik Amavasa when Shrikrishan along with other took castles for grazing and in the evening it was celebrated with lights.
It was also Kartik Amavasa on which Shri Krishna left the physical body.
This was the day on which during the Mahabharat era Maharaj Yudishtar started Rajsuau Yug hence on the night a special light celebration was done.
On request of Gods, Lord Vishu bagged of three feet area from the Generous and powerful King Bali and keep third step to send him to Patal loak. This is celebrated as the second day of the festival.
Goddess Mata Rani was in the form of Mahakali to abolish devil forces but even after killing them the anger of Mahakali was not ended so her body was touched by Lord Shiva and the form of Mahakali become pleasant and peace full, In remembrance of this, Tradition of worship of Goddess Laxmi came in existence.
Rishi Udalak has donated his son Nachiketa to Yamraj [God Of Death] and in the residence of Nachiketa gained the Brahma Gyan [ True Knoweldge] on that day on earth a celebration of light was arranged.
Almost 2500 years ago Mahatma Buddha was welcomed with a series of Deeps [earthen pots with oil used to give light].
It was Kartik amavasa, when Guru Hargovind Sahib ji returned to Amratsar after being released from the prison of Muslim ruler King Jahangir.
24 th Tirthkar Mahaveer swami of Jain religion got the nirvan [end of physical life] on this day .
Beside these there may be some other reasons unknown to me.
The Celebrations
Though the Diwali is said to be festival of three Days namely Laxmi Poojan, Bali Prtipada and Bhau Bij [Full moon day]but the celebrations starts with Dhan Teras, the 13th day of dark part of the month. It is a epic that every one must purchase something for the kitchen so in the coming year kitchen remain filled with all necessary things, though with the time tradition of purchasing Gold, Diamonds etc. has also become the trademark for the day.
On the day of Narak chaturthi specially in south India people get up early in the morning say 4'o clock and as per the tradition have the oil bath. Than comes the real big day Laxmi Poojan Deepavali. On this day Worship of Goddess Laxmi - the Goddess of wealth is performed in variety of ways. Before the start of April to March accounting year this day was also known as the Bahi Pooja Day, still so many people worship their account books to be used for next year on this day because for the Indians still business is the transactions of truth.
The last day is Badu[ in sindhi] or Bhau Beej, on this day married sister invites her brothers at her residence and felicitate them. There is also tradition that on this day brothers are giving gifts to sisters. The mark of festival are the sweets and crackers as the diwali day being amavasaya a day without moon in the sky but the fire crackers that are burnt on this day makes the sky a life time experience for the non Indians and a scene worth to watch.
Health Aspect
This festival is celebrated at the end of rainy season and start of the winter season. As per the tradition all the houses are cleaned, recolored and decorated with flowers and perfumes to welcome Goddess Laxmi. In this way a hygienic atmosphere is created though the fire crackers produce air pollution but the interiors of houses become protective from the diseases may caused by this season change.
Economic Aspect
This is time of highest tide of the business ocean. All the companies plans there market stargazes well in advance to meet with with the real high market demands in the fields of starting with cloths to high tech electronic goods it is said that almost 40% of sales targets are achieved during these five six days.

Obesity : Causes & Preventative Measures

Among the worries which are the production of recent era, undoubtedly obesity is the front runner and attracting attention of major share of human population. What is this obesity which is hottest topic of the discussion among the people from the one corner of the globe to another corner? In our common language of conversation being over weight is termed as the obesity where as the expertise of the medical science or from the field of dieticians will define this with the help of particular term called BMI or on the basis of size and number of fat cells present in the body.
BMI or Body mass Index is the calculation done on the basis of body weight and space occupied in simple words by dividing the body weight [in kilogram] with the height [in sq.m] what we get is our BMI, and all the persons with over 30 BMI are obese. Our body is constituted with a fixed number of various types of cell usually body of a normal sized person contains 30 to 35 billion fat cell. Male with 25% and a female with 30% increase in these cells are said to obese.
Basically obesity is the process of gaining weight and usually it takes some tens of years. Whenever we took food energy in excess of our body consumption we tend to store it within the body in the in the form of fats. In fact the major cause of obesity is our life style and just as the joke it is said that this is a royal assets poor people are not entitled to acquire it. As our life become more comfortable the chance of being obese goes more on the positive side, as the comfortable life helps us to store the fats. Our eating habits and some other habits are also making us to fall the pray of obesity. In some people a tendency of eating even beyond the hunger is observed, In some others people it is a habit of eating while watching the TV. here also unknowingly we eat more than our requirements. Some people are seen with a habit of taking at least one meal out in the hotels or restaurants, this is also a favorable factor for the development of obesity. In the hotels most stress is given on the test of food and in the greed of test we tend to eat more.
Continuous illness and side effects of some medicines are also leading towards the development of obesity. Series of losing weight by the process of dieting is another reason as it disturbs water cycle in our body.
Recent research of the topic also indicates that obesity can also be a transferred from one generation to another as heredity. How the our health is effected from obesity that we are going to discuss in the next topic A self control and cure from the dietary diseases.
If we can chose to implement a simple work eating plane for self we easily can escape from the trap of this highly health destroying term obesity. The simple plan includes :
Regular & not to hunger intake of food.
A good walk say for 2-3 kilometers will help you to burn the extra calories, that otherwise will stored as the fats. Our father of Nation Bapu [Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi] was of the opinion that walking is the queen of exercises.
Instead of going your office at third floor by lift use staircase to burn extra calories.
Try to know about from your doctor which are foods with high calories and try to avoid them. For example cord fish is a Non vegetarian food stuff with low calories in comparison of other food of this class.
If you are unable to overcome your temptation of watching television [TV] than instead of watching by laying on bed seat on chair and eating while the watching is strictly prohibited.

SUCCESS

A continuous process of overcoming of owns mistakes, setting new examples and leading from the front are the some of the phrases which can be associated with the success. Consider the two most popular stars of 70's and 80's from the bollywood, Rajesh Khana & Amitabh Bachan, both have touched a never before touched popularity graph and become role model of millions of Indians but as the Rajesh Khana took that as the ever possible highest achievement and is out of the focus today, Where as for Amitabh, it was a continuous flow and he has moved it . The result is Amitabh is still in the list of popular stars, even after entrance of his son Abhishek in the same erina. Many people who test the success , think that they have touched the virgin height of their field hence no body can reach up to them. They often forget that "There is always a space vacant above" . All the records are created to for being broken, The real success is not the reaching on top but is the to remain on top.
Like the food dishes success doesn't have any recipe so that you can add the ingredients in a certain pre fixed ratio and test the success just as of dish. Success is not a destination but is a continuously on going journey during which you have to face and tackle various situations and problems and your this capacity to keep calm and coping with adverse time, is the basis to define quantity and quality of your success. The factors that helps to be successful are varying with time, person and situations but still we can identify some universal ones and some of these are Hardworking, Knowledge, Innovative Nature, Vision, Attitude, Luck and so on.
Success doesn't moves with smooth express highway roads, you have to a perfect cross country runner to achieve it and do remember without handy tool of knowledge no one in the world has tested the success. In your surroundings you are sure to find at least a couple of millions other people engaged with the job of yours, until and unless you are not innovative your work will not look differ from the lot and success will be at the same distance from you, just as of the faience of a poor person keep the distance from him. Your success ratio is directly proportional to your innovative nature. [ Here innovative nature means doing the same work in different style and manner to achieve a desirable result].
You need an adhesive also, to keep you stick with your ideas and work plan on the roads going towards the success , as you sure to face ups and downs. If you can't concentrate and keep your destination within your sight, surely you will be on the looser side. It is said that " Success is slave of those, who dare to dream it and capable of handling it." Here your attitude of looking towards the given situation and utilising the situation to opt maximum benefit in owns favors will help you to keep a constant flow of success in your life. Look into your own inner view, Are you ready to flow with the success? Can you dare to dream success ? Are you capable of handling the options that were opened for you due to success ? If all or majority of these are affirmative than who is saying that you are not on the roads leading to success.

BE POSITIVE

Merry Quiery, the only lady of the world, twice winner of the Nobel Prize, was experimenting for the isolation of radium from the pinch blendy [ore], she performed about one hundred experiments without achieving her aim. Many of her colleagues ask her to drop the idea, as she was unsuccessful in reaching her destination. Merry Quiery replied, “Who says that I am unsuccessful? I am on the road of success because now I know that radium can’t be isolated by these hundred ways.” What these words are expressing? Only and only positive frame of her mind. It is the part of history that at last she was able to isolate radium to bag her second Nobel Prize. So my dear friends, if we wish to win the race we have to be positive.
Positive nature helps to find out the shining side of the worst situation and hence help to solve the problem. Consider the famous tour of England cricket team to Australia, the famous bodyline series, the “Ashes”. Though Australia loosed the series, but it results in the use of helmet by the batsman. It is the positive vision to the Bodyline series, which is saving life of the players, from the fast rising death on the fields of modern cricket, in the form of helmet.
One can stand up even from, the ones ash, if the heart and mind are in the state of positive ness. Let consider the example of Japan after the Second World War, compare the economics status of the country now and than. The difference is as high as is the Everest. This is only the attitude of Japanese, to be positive. This quality of being positive helped them to start rebuild the nation with their own limitations and this positive ness helped them to such a great extant that in most parts of the worlds shops are having a good quantity of the products from the factories of Japan. Positive vision intended to generate courage, this courage helps to face the devil. Remember as soon as you face the devil, you will find him running away from you.
I, in my childhood read somewhere that, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru once said, “the person and the nation, who doesn’t know how to die, they also doesn’t know how to live”. Theses words are the perfect expression of being positive. Usually what we think, life ends at the death but being Indians, we know life is extended even beyond the death and we work accordingly. This positive vision to life helps us to do more and more for deprived section of the society, city, nation and the world.
Once Florence Nightingale has said, “ I know, I am alone, I cannot do all the work, which is pending but I am sure of one thing that at least some of this work, I can do and I will do that”. So dear friends forget about all and keep your positive attitude intact surely success will behave as your slave.

Food and Fitness

Obesity is the term which is the cause of worry not only of the women but also a majority of men. All the health conscious people are afraid of this term to such great extant that a lot of them prefer a series of fasts, another lot is sweating hours and hours in gym while few others are paying real huge to dieticians so this term can’t be pronounced with reference to them. According to expertise of medical field and dieticians Food and Fitness are the inter related terms and are depending on each other so heavily that even one can affect other adversely.
Every walk of human life is slave of energy and when body stops energy consumption we say person is no more. Our universe is enriched with various forms of energy but unfortunately for being fit we have to depend upon only one form of energy and this solo form is the Food energy. According to Hindu faith Five elements are the constituents of human body hence it is suggested that there must be five intakes of food during the day. Our faith even goes further and suggests that beside the physical health, food is also related with the mental and even the spiritual health of a person.
From the view point of a chemist our food is composed of Carbohydrates, Proteins, Fats, Vitamins & Minerals and the Water. Out of these the first three can be used as the source of energy, though Carbohydrates are the main source of our energy requirement but fats are also the stored source of energy. In fact it is not the body weight but is the stored fat quantities which are the main hindering for the fitness. From all the food stuffs that we took, we get energy in the form of calories. It is not the balance diet, as the most of dieticians suggests but it is essential to maintain the equilibrium of the calories, taken and consumed for keeping our fitness intact. If you are maintaining the balance energy intake and consumption, inspite of being over weight you can remain fit.
Our energy requirements varies from person to person and from profession to profession or with the nature of work which we do everyday. Remember even the energy requirements of the two persons working for same hours and from same profession may not be the same. As if a patient goes to doctor and complains about the stomach pain, doctor has to believe it because he has no equipments to verify that patient is correct or not. Similarly it is not the dietician but you are the correct person to decide what & which quantity of food you need to satisfy your energy requirements. In my personal life I have worked on it successfully and even after crossing the fifty I find myself fit for working more than 13 hours per day. My experience suggests that
1] We need not to be afraid of the oily & spicy foods, till your intestines and digestive system are not alarming you there is no harm in keeping continue intake of these.
2] Water is most essential part of body almost 70% of body weight, beside that it also works as the cleaning agent taking out the toxins in the form of urine & sweat, so give a good attention for the intake of water I suggest a dozen of glass daily.
3] Never eat to your hunger, always keep vacant space for metabolic activities. The ideal proportion is that fill one half of your stomach with food, One quarter with water and remaining one quarter as the space for the metabolic activities.
4] Make a habit of taking some thing it even may be a couple of biscuits with the first tea of morning because it is just as we have to kick our bikes twice / thrice in winters to make the engine heated. Early morning walk also helpful in the process of keeping fit to self.
5] Be remain stick to your food intake schedules and don’t miss to eat at the scheduled time daily. Avoid hard to digest, food stuffs at dinner as during night when we sleep our bodies metabolic activities goes on the slower side. Preferably soups are the ideal ones.

COMMITMENT

Commitment a word composed of ten alphabets is not meagerly a word but in fact is a total philosophy which is able to change our life style in a different way, but surely towards the positive and better side of the life.
It was none else but the “Love commitment” of Majnoo towards the Laila which forced him to forget the common rule of not passing in front of the person paying Namaj [Muslim way of Prayer], remember majnoo’s answer to mulla, who was angry with him as he passed in front of the mulla, while mulla was busy in paying his Namaj, “ when in the love of God made Laila, I forget that some body is paying namaj, how you can remember that some body is passing in front of you, while paying your thanks to God.” Don’t these words are reflecting the real meaning of the commitment?
The ten alphabets of the word “commitment” have a very huge meaning hidden within them. Let-us try to unfold the mystery and find out the truth. The first alphabet is “ C “ which stands for
C = Cap-a-pie [from head to foot]
It was cap-a-pie which helped Arjun to aim at bird’s eye, where due to lack of this all other Pandavas and Kauravas failed to do so.
Next three alphabet “ O “, “ M “ and “ M “ stands for
O = Orderly
M = Morale [state of discipline and spirit]
M = Magnificent
The history never forgets the death of Bhisham Pitamah. It was orderly actions of the lord Krishna, which brought Arjun in the state of discipline and spirit to achieve the splendid, but desired result, which has changed the whole complex of the war.
The next alphabet “ I “ indicates
I = Idealism
Does we have belief in our ideals? The lack of this faith, in fact is the one of causes of value crises, which we are facing presently.
T = Taboo
Taboo is narrated by the alphabet “ T “. It is taboo due to which our history has only one Arjun. Otherwise who could say that Eklavaya might not become another Arjun?
We measure the boundaries of our world by seven seas, hence the seventh alphabet of “ M “ of the word commitment stands for
M = Measurable
Does what units of value measurement presently we have are proper one? My memory recalls an example again from the Mahabharat [one of the most sacred book of Hindhu religion], one day Acharya Guru Dronacharya asked Yudhistar to find out a man with devil spirit and Duryodhan a gentleman in the human ocean of the city Hasthinapur, when sunsets both after spending whole day in the streets of the city, came to Rajguru and narrated their failure in the search of the required person.In the same city Yudishtar was unable to find a man with devil spirit, While Duryodhan could not located even a single gentleman. It shows that vision of the person can change the meaning of the same thing.
The last three alphabets “ E “, “ N “ and “ T “ does indicates a medical specialization but they stands for
E = Enhance
N = Naturally
T = Task Master
Only the person who imposes hard can add something to the things, which work according to nature. It was task mastery of Newton, which enabled him to find out “ Laws Of Motion “.
So my friends now search your own inner view and find out to what extant you are committed. In my personal view point keeping self aware about ones shortcomings is the first step towards the improvement.

SPIRITUALITY – A NEW VISION

Imagine you are Adam and you had not met with Eve yet. Try to analyses your thought process what you will be thinking in that lonely situation? Some of the most certain questions which were bubbling within your cerebral cortex are, who am I? Where from I came here? What is this place and who created it? In fact these and similar questions is the point from where we start learning spirituality. Many of us often consider spirituality and religion as one but in fact both never can be the same as religion is faith and spirituality in the science of knowledge. In faith there is no scope for knowledge, as love is blind so is the faith, once you are having faith in destiny, you are making free your self from many worries, but the same can’t goes with spirituality. Every time there are so many ifs and buts are before you and you can’t escape from there, you have face and find certain answer of each and every if and but. In fact the process of finding these answers is none else but the spirituality. However religion and spirituality can go side by side like the two faces of the coin as both religion and spirituality are related to and created by human. Here in this article we are focusing on spirituality from the view point of vocabulary.
A dozen of alphabets starting from “S” to “Y” comprise the word “Spirituality”. Here we will not go with any expert of topic, nor will quote some great personalities of the field. We will look at the “Spirituality” from the sight of the dictionary, we will try and find out what is hidden in the word ocean for each alphabet to provide and constitute a real meaning for the word “Spirituality”. I dare to do this only because of the fact that first two alphabets of my name and spirituality are common and are “S” & “P”.
We will start with “S” and end our search by finding word “Spontaneous“for the alphabet “S”. Practice a word from dictionary we choose for the alphabet “P”.”I’ is the alphabet which being used thrice in the word “Spirituality” and here we took “Individual”, “Idolism” and “ Inherent” for these three “I”, Similarly alphabet “T” comes twice in the word “Spirituality” and for these we are considering “Teachings” and “Totality” respectively. By this time we are able to find out words for 7 alphabets of the word “Spirituality” and for remaining five my suggestions are Realisation for “R”, Unique / Universe for “U”, Adopt/ absorb for “A”, Loyalty/learning for “L” and for “Y” we took Yield/ Yogi. Here we will close our dictionary as the choosing of words, with possible sounding of each alphabet has been completed successfully.
Now the second and tough phase starts we have to arrange all the words in a meaningful sentence to get a proper definition for the “spirituality” and my efforts end with
The spontaneous practice of an individual yogi for the realization of unique idolism teaching with loyalty and his ability to give the yields in its totality to the younger generations as inherent character can be termed as spirituality.
What till you has read was a game in which I was playing with worlds. In fact what spirituality means to me? That I will try to analyses in following few lines:-
If you spell word “spirituality” you will notice that you have to pronounce alphabet I thrice and alphabet U once. These are the four alphabets/ centers around which my spirituality is revolving. To me the three I, are
[1] I means I [Myself]
[2] I mean God [pronounced by God for himself]
[3] I stand for Identity
And the “U” is indicative of the union. Thus to me spirituality in none else but the union of the I [myself] and I [God] to form a single I [Identity].

Shree Ganesha: First Step

My self a Hindu and very strong believe in the existence of the God. What my eternal source suggest and I have faith in, is what ever is being done in this material world by using my body is in fact is the work and will of that power, whose existence can be felt at every walk of life, hence whatever today and in the future you are going to read on these pages is being dedicated to that great creator and care taker of this universe.
According our customs and traditions Lord Ganesha is worshiped ahead of all Gods. Does it indicate that as per epic among the 33 billions [karors] Hindu Gods and Goddess Vighanharta Ganesha are most powerful? No, He is not. Than what is the reason for which we worship Parvati Putra, Gourinanadan ahead of all Gods? The story behind this known to me goes like this
Once, at her residence at Himalayan caves, Mother Parvati [Wife of God Shiva] has to go for bath and there was no one for the safe guarding the entrance of the residence, hence she with her divine powers produced a child and ask him to stand at door with the instructions of not allowing any body in the residence till she came out. Doing that she went for the bath, meanwhile God Shiva with his several servants came there. Just he was to enter the residence he heard a voice preventing him from doing so he turned back and saw a kid, he tried to explain the kid that he is husband of Parvati and owner of the house but child was not ready to listen any thing, he was unmoved from his suggestion to wait out side till the mother comes out, In deep anger Lord Shiva cut the head of boy and entered in the house.
Parvati was pleased to see her husband but also was surprised she enquired about the boy. When she came to know about the death of the boy she becomes very said. Seeing this to please Parvati, Lord Shiva asked his servants to search a new head so the boy can be brought back to life. Servants obeyed the order but the first head they found was of an elephant hence the boy become elephant headed.
Parvati was happy to see the boys back to the life but was also worried about the new shape of the boy. At that time God Shiva said “Don’t worry Parvati! I am pleased with this boy’s attitude of not thinking even of own life for obeying the order given by the mother, hence I am blessing him that whenever any devotee will start any worship your this son Ganesha will be worshiped ahead of all Gods”.
The tradition, that started so many thousands of year back is still continued and we Hindu are used to say Shree Ganesha whenever we start any new venture I hope you will say that this is very good Shree Ganesha of my blog.
